Yesterday I was thrilled to learn that Las Vegas actually has a pretty decent music store. Here I thought they'd all gone out of business. The store (Zia Records) inspired me to buy a bunch of angsty albums I used to listen to in high school. Here's what I got (& what I'm listening to now):
PJ Harvey - Dry
PJ Harvey - Rid of Me
Alanis Morrisette - Jagged Little Pill
Alanis Morrisette - Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie
Sinead O'Connor - Universal Mother
So if I seem a little angrier than usual this week, this is why. :-)

I have Dry and Rid of Me.
I usually go to Big B's.
Well gee, maybe that information could have saved me $12 had I known it YESTERDAY!! What other music do you have that I could steal for my iPod? I'll have to borrow your CD collection for a few days I think...
I had all these albums back in the day, but I think they were all tapes, which I lost. So yeah...
This may help explain why you're so angry. ;-)
Did they get taking by the car stealing, cheetoe eating bandits?
Yes. Those bastards took my CD collection, 2 tall-girl-size winter coats, and they destroyed my cheeto experiment.
Ally - no I didn't see the video, but I guess she's pretty open about her lesbionic experiences.
What's wrong with Balcony Lights? I always thought they had a great selection and the ambiance is great too.
Please forgive me for my grammer & spelling errors in my last comment...I was trying to type really fast before my boss came in my office.
I liked Zia when I went in there. I picked up a used copy of Veruca Salt's "American Thighs", to replace a copy I'd misplaced.
I know it's corporate, but the Tower in the Galleria parking lot isn't that bad. They have a large selection and I found the indie CD I was looking for.
I've never heard of Balcony Lights - now there are 2 more record stores I have to go to in Vegas that I didn't know about before. Yay!
Odyssey used to be the bomb, and even the Virgin megastore (which you used to work at, right Yas?) was cool, but now they're both gone.. And isn't Benway Bop gone now as well? So I didn't know where I was supposed to go, until now.
Balcony Lights replaced Benway Bob, but I prefer Big B's which is across the street from that. Also, I noticed another record store near UNLV last night.
I agree with Todd- Tower usually has a decent selection. I like the WoW store on Sahara.
Yasmien, did you work with a Mike Larson over at the Virgin Megastore?
The name sound familiar but I can't put a face to it...
And yes, Balcony lights took over Benway Bop's spot.
Hey, you have to update your Wish list!! I was going to buy you a present and found "PJ Harvey - Rid of Me" listed on your wish list!
Also! you don't have any Peaches! You've got to get the Teaches of Peaches, by Peaches.
How strange that you people buy CDs? I thought you were all somewhat technology savy. And owning an Ipod? (Puke!)
One word, limewire!

There's something about having a CD with all the artwork. I just like it.
Yeah, Im kinda like that for DVDs. I like to have the artwork on a shelf to pick the movie out from. Music you just listen to though, in MP3 format. Besides, the artwork should appear digitally on your player's screen.
