Ok new wedding question: Any song ideas for the first dance? We want something cute and romantic but intereting - not like Faith Hill or Bette Midler or something lame like that. So far I think we're going with Perfect Day by Lou Reed. But that song sounds a little sad. Any other suggetions?

Wish I had used it...especially since the song we did use was in the world police movie by the south park guys.
darn, i like "at last"... however, i'll second the queen suggestion. there is another non-traditional good one too...crap i will have to get back to you on that. can't think of it right now.
ok i found it - the ultimate song: "someone like you" by van morrison. i also have some more.....
"in my life" - the beatles
"this love" - don henley
"hold you in my arms" - ray lamontagne
"in your eyes" - peter gabriel
"por ti volare / con te partiro" - andrea bocelli and sarah brightman
hope this helps.
You want non-traditional? Go TMBG. :-)
Have a listen to "Another First Kiss" and "The Bells are Ringing."
I like "When you love someone" by Bryan Adams, but that is very "traditional"....
How about "The Birdie Song" or maybe a nice Polka?
straight outta compton by nwa. i will always regret not using that for my wedding, but it is my gift to you.
What is wrong with you people?? (And by you people, I mean Nick)
;-)
My friend Alysia couldn't sign on for some reason, but her suggestions cracked me up:
"'The Homecoming Queen Has Got
a Gun'. Or INXS - two worlds collided...
Boom Boom Boom, let's go back to my room?
HOW ABOUT DIAMOND GIRL?????"
definitely "rubber ducky" by ernie.
How about "Can you feel the love tonight" from the lion king... it is very sweet.....
Fields of gold by sting ..amazing and perfect...

I like the song "By your Side" By SADE
you think i'd leave your side baby
you know me better than that
you think i'd leave you down when you're down on your knees
i wouldn't do that
i'll tell you you're right when you want
and if only you could see into me
ha ah ah ah ah ah
oh when you're cold
i'll be there
hold you tight to me
when you're on the outside baby and you can`t get in
i will show you you're so much better than you know
when you're lost and you're alone and you cant get back again
i will find you darling and i will bring you home
I know this one might be cliche...not sure if I have heard it at a wedding before though..
Sarah McLaughlin - Your love is better then chocolate (or is it icecream?)
How about "Bitch better have my money"?
Dude, the Luckiest - Ben Folds
