Bombastic, Semi-fantastic

Just got back from seeing the Fantastic Four premiere. It was dumb.. cheesy.. juvenile. Comparable to Batman and Robin, the one w/ Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chris O'Donnell and Alicia Silverstone. Final grade according to me: C.

Ick, War of the Worlds?? I'm passively boycotting that movie b/c Tom Cruise is a dumbass. Brian's mom said it was dumb anyway. Sorry to burst your bubble Randi!!

Don't listen to her Randi, I liked War of the World. But I went at matinee so it was ½ the price, with that said I think I got my monies worth. This is coming from a person who does not care for mini-man, adulteress, crazy couch jumping, Prozac hating Tom Cruise. But I do like Dakota Fanning, although the cute is wearing off, I think she’s going to be the next Kristin Dunst. Then I’ll have to hate her for making out with Jake Gyllenhaal.

wait, you gave batman and robin a C? That movie was a F-.

Yeah, you're right. B&R was an F-. This movie was not as bad as that one, but it was comparable. Less horrible, but still bad.

The Fantastic Four never had a chance. It was cursed with the director of Taxi, and the vacuous Jessica Alba. The only movie I can tolerate her in is Idle Hands.
War of the Worlds was a good summer popcorn flick. I must be in the minority, because I kind of like the fact that Tom Cruise is slowly breaking apart right before our eyes. It makes his acting that much more enjoyable. Like, how can the crazy wild-eyed maniac that "knows" Ritalin (whatever the hell that means), remain level-headed enough to shoot a two hour movie? That's acting my friends.
