I was in a rush for work this morning and as I'm driving through my condo complex, I turn head-on into the path of a gigantic garbage truck. I slammed on my brakes and was like, 2 inches away from hitting him. Thank God I didn't. It definitely got my attention though...

I'm surprised that this doesn't happen more often.
A week after I got my snazzy car with Anti-lock brakes I had a similar incident, except it was raining and dark and I didn't expect the car in front of me to stop...anyways, ABS saved my ass.

Sweet - their huge-ass truck shouldn't have been taking up the whole middle of the lane anyway! I did give them a little "sorry" wave though afterword, since I was the much much smaller of the two vehicles.
