Ridiculous part deux
I saw this sign on the inside of a bathroom stall door and it pissed me off. If not on the hook, where the heck am I supposed to put my purse?? On the nasty germy floor? I think not. Any ideas on what the hook is for if not for a purse? Sweater is the only thing I can think of..

i agree....i would have put a dummy purse there and just left it there to piss them off.....
I think it is there to prevent the door from smashing into the wall when you open it. Hence the rubber stopper. They make it look like a hook to confuse lawyers ;-) See, it works!
I have heard that you should never hang your purse there to save you from purse snatchers who will reach over the door and steal.

Kat - I would hope not! I was taking a piss!! Although I did forget that other people were in the bathroom when I snapped my photo with the flash. They left pretty quick after that. :-)

It is a gripper for the tough bowel movements you might have before or after a plane ride.
